Programme Update Arctic Edgelands at Nordic Music Days

Unfortunately we are no longer able to perform Bára Gísladóttir’s Laufgar at Nordic Music Days as part of Arctic Edgelands.

However, I am absolutely delighted to include Orkney composer Gemma McGregor’s On the Trysted Shore for flute and viola and Scottish-Icelander Charles Ross’ -the new forest- for solo viola. and I’m delighted to bring the work of these longterm partners of Nordic Viola to Nordic Music Days.

The second half of the programme remains devoted to Arctic Edgelands, a collaboration between Greenlander Arnannguaq Gerstrøm, Shetland musician Renzo Spiteri and I. Renzo and I will be joined in Glasgow by flautist Richard Craig to perform the piece. You can read more about this new collaboration here.

I look forward to being able to perform Bára Gísladóttir’s Laufgar in the future.
