It’s Bandcamp Friday!

Just a quick post to say that today is the last Bandcamp Friday of the year, so it’s the perfect day to snap up a couple of Christmas gifts whilst supporting our future projects as all proceeds go to artists (no fees) today.

I know that many of you already own our Elsewhere, Elsewhen CD, but if you’ve enjoyed it, why not snap up a copy as a Christmas present for a good friend who might enjoy it too? We’re also offering a special bundle of a brand new Fine Art Print by Orla Stevens in response to Eli Tausen á Lava’s Tale of the Sealwoman wich includes our CD at just £5, which is less than half price. You can snap them up here: https://nordicviola.bandcamp.com/merch

Before Christmas I’ll be launching our new project – what I will let you know is that it will be on John Rae and the Northern Telegraph Route. There’s a nice link to last year’s work as, once again, The Fox will be the Arctic expedition ship at the heart of the story. If you want to help us raise the last little bit of money for our project, then why not buy a print of Sarah Barnard‘s incredible cyanotype-painting of the ship shown below. We’re also including “Frozen Solitude” as a download track. This is a wee taster from our digital album, On A Wing and A Prayer – Reflections on Deeside’s changing habitat. This one will appeal to all lovers of the Scottish Highlands as it was composed on location in Braemar by Pete and Joe Stollery and myself. The full album is available here.

If you love the images below but the art prints push your budget a little, they’re also available as cards here and here!

I feel very lucky to be able to work with such sensitive artists as Orla Stevens and Sarah Barnard who interpret our work so well. I hope you’ll enjoy sharing their work, too, and perhaps gifting to some of your friends this Christmas. We’re so grateful for all your support as readers, listeners, concert-goers and fellow travellers and can’t wait to share our new project with you next year!
